Icera Consulting at the ISPOR 16th Annual European Congress

Michelle will be presenting a poster, “A UK Based Discrete Choice Experiment To Evaluate Blood Glucose Meter Preferences In People With Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes”,  at the ISPOR European Congress this afternoon. Please some along and say hello, if you’re attending. Michelle is also co-author of another paper, “A Systematic Review And Network Meta-analysis Of Second-line Anti-diabetes Treatments For Those with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Inadequately controlled by Sulfonylurea Monotherapy” being presented this afternoon. Indirect and Mixed Treatment Comparisons Course September 17-19th 2012

For anyone interested in learning Bayesian meta-analysis, I would recommend this three day Indirect and Mixed Treatment comparisons course. This course is run annually as a collaboration between the Department of Health Sciences at the University of Leicester and the School of Social and Community Medicine at the University of Bristol, and was updated in 2011 to be compatible with the NICE 2008 Methods Guide. This course is very useful as it provides practical examples as well as an introduction to WinBUGS. Further details are given on their website:
